Nebraska bill would create right to counsel for all tenants

A new Nebraska bill, LB , would require courts to appoint counsel for all tenants in eviction cases. The bill also creates a new $50 eviction fee to generate funding for the right. A study of evictions in Lancaster County provides support for the bill's objectives.
