Concord CA eviction report calls for right to counsel
A report out of Concord, California points to skyrocketing rents, hazardous conditions, and unjust evictions in the city, finding that rents increased over 60% in a 7-year period, half the residents dealt with health issues in their rentals, and 75% lived with a constant fear of eviction. The report recommends a right to counsel as one of its policy solutions. The release of the report was featured in SFGate.
