02/06/2024 , Oklahoma , Legislation , Custody Disputes - Children

SB1805: The law already permits the appointment of an attorney ad litem for children “[i]n any proceeding when the custody or visitation of a minor child or children is contested by any party”. The bill would add that appointment of an attorney ad litem is mandatory for children in dissolution of marriage matters where custody or visitation is contested and the mediation of such matters was unsuccessful.
