HB2604: Establishing Child and Family Representation Program in the Administrative Office of the Courts “for the purpose of … ensur[ing] uniform, high-quality legal representation by attorneys appointed pursuant to Section 8-221.” Aims to enhance representation by engaging in activities such as assessing training for attorneys and judges; making recommendations to Supreme Court about establishment or modification of court rules related to minimum training requirements and practice standards; recommending fair and realistic compensation rates; seeking to enhance funding sources; and developing measures to assess and document the effectiveness of counsel and the outcomes achieved by children who are represented.
