In November 2024, the City of Dayton, which had over 12,000 eviction filings in 2023 and where only 3% of tenants have access to representation, launched a pilot to expand tenant representation.  As reported in the Dayton Daily News, the pilot is using $515,000 of funding from Blue Meridian Partners, the Dayton Legal Heritage Foundation of the Dayton Foundation and the Wright-Patt Credit Union Sunshine Fund.  Initial eligibility is set to “northwest Dayton (zip codes 45405 and 45406) with a household income below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level, pregnant or have children living in the home.”  More information can be found from Learn to Earn Dayton.
