In an action that may affect a property interest of an individual not in being, the circuit court may appoint an attorney to represent that individual. MD. RULE 2-203(a). If the court orders that service in rem or service quasi in rem be made upon a person whose whereabouts are unknown, the court may appoint an attorney to represent that person. Id. 2-404(a)(4).
