Discretionary appointment of counsel

Iowa provides for the discretionary appointment of counsel in housing discrimination cases. See Iowa Code § 216.17A(5) (“On application by a person alleging a discriminatory housing practice or by a person against whom a discriminatory practice is alleged, the district court may appoint an attorney for the person.”).
