In 2024, Arizona introduced a bill, SB 1664, that would have provided a right to counsel to persons against whom an allegation of child abuse or neglect has been substantiated in matters related to adding the individual to the child abuse registry; however, the right to counsel provision was removed by the Senate through amendment.
