A 2014 New York Times article pitched by the NCCRC took a look at efforts to expand access to legal aid across the country, and mentioned the NCCRC and its work to establish a right to counsel in basic human needs civil cases. Also discussed were the Shriver right to counsel pilot projects in California, which are measuring the impact of providing on a systemic basis in certain types of civil cases.
NCCRC pitched the idea of the story to the NY Times.
