Montana , Legislation , Truancy - Petition Against Child

In Montana, truancy is treated as a “youth in need of intervention” matter, pursuant to Mont. Code § 41-5-103(51)(a)(ii).  And under Mont. Code § 41-5-1413, children have a right to appointed counsel regardless of indigence in such proceedings.
