HB693: Changing the name of the Office of Tenant’s Rights to the “Office of Tenant and Landlord Affairs”; amending the Office’s responsibilities to include development of resources to aid tenants in understanding and exercising their legal rights including a Maryland Tenants’ Bill of Rights, which shall summarize the rights and remedies available to tenants under state and federal law, and referral of covered individuals to the Access to Counsel in Evictions Program that is administered by the Maryland Legal Services Corp.
