HB1537: For mental health inpatient or outpatient treatment, would raise age of consent from 14 to 16 for minors. But minor’s parent or guardian may consent on their behalf. If a minor who is at least 16 but younger than 18 objects to continued inpatient treatment for which their parent consented, the court shall appoint counsel for the minor.
