SB1257: Creating new Article in the mental health code related to involuntary stabilization where an individual is believed to have “impaired judgment due to intoxication, withdrawal, or substance-induced symptoms.” Provides a right to counsel at the time that an order for involuntary stabilization is issued: “The court shall appoint counsel for the impaired person at the time of issuing the order for stabilization.”
