H1801: Creating process whereby certain individuals can petition the court for a “critical community mental health service treatment plan.” In such matters, “[t]he individual shall be entitled to the assistance of counsel, and the court, if necessary, shall appoint counsel.” The bill also extends the same appointment of counsel language to situations where a supervising mental health professional petitions the court for a hearing, alleging that the person is not adhering to the treatment plan.
