A report from the Vera Institute for Justice found that detained immigrants in Chicago who were represented by the Midwest Immigrant Defenders Alliance were five times more likely to obtain relief than unrepresented detained immigrants, and 36% of MIDA-represented immigrants were able to remain in the country.  MIDA is comprised of The National Immigrant Justice Center, The Resurrection Project, The Immigration Project, and the Law Office of the Cook County Public Defender.
