H0185: Same as SB 1224: Started as a bill to replace mandatory atty ad litem appointment for disabled children in abuse matters with the permissive appointment for all children where requirements are met; now just requires a GAL for all children. GAL may or may not be an attorney The bill would also repeal Fla. Stat. 39.522 (“postdispositional change of custody”), which requires counsel for a child who’s the subject of a permanent custody proceeding.
