New Hampshire , Legislation , Truancy - Petition Against Child

Pursuant to N.H. Rev. Stat. § 169-D:2(II)(a), truancy is treated as a “child in need of services” matter.  And children have a right to appointed counsel regardless of indigence in such proceedings, pursuant to N.H. Rev. Stat. § 169-D:12.
