In adult protective proceedings, La. R.S. § 15:1509(A) provides that “If the alleged abused or neglected adult has no attorney, the court shall appoint an attorney to represent him.”  See also La. R.S. § 15:1511(D)(2) (requiring appointment of attorney where ex parte emergency protective order is sought).
