SB0117: Enacting the “Uniform Family Law Arbitration Act”, which provides that arbitrators have the authority to appoint an attorney, guardian ad litem, or ‘other representative’ for a minor child at the expense of the parties. This applies in “child-related disputes”, which are family law disputes that relate to the custody, parent-time, visitation, or financial support of a child.
