Attorneys fees reform bills die

SB 1028 and HB 129 would have prohibited the court from assessing fees for a child’s appointed attorney or guardian ad litem (GAL) against their parent in truancy, delinquency, and abuse cases. Unfortunately, both the Senate bill died in Chamber and the House bill died in Committee.
