Voices for Civil Justice, which worked to increase the profile of civil legal aid in the media prior to its closure, conducted a survey of voters as well as the legal community to gather their feelings about different approaches to addressing the access to justice crisis. In the survey, the right to counsel concept tested extremely strongly with the public, as shown below:
