UN report raises need for counsel in all detention cases

A report by the UN Human Rights Council Working Group on Arbitrary Detention flags the problem of detention of immigrants without the right to counsel, and notes the incredible impact that lawyers have in immigration cases.  It also raises a concern regarding the practice of some states (like Wisconsin) confining pregnant women without counsel, referencing a case in which the NCCRC has been involved.
