The Disability Economic Justice Collaborative is "collection of leading disability rights and justice* organizations, Washington, D.C. based think tanks, advocacy organizations, and top research and policy organizations dedicated to bringing a disability lens across the entire economic agenda."  The Collaborative has just released its policy framework principles, which should be utilized in considering and incorporating disability rights into all enacted policies.  Among the principles is that every disabled person "is provided fair and equitable access to and treatment by the American legal system, including through civil, criminal, immigration, and family courts; court fines and fees; and the right to support for legal decision-making and the right to counsel as a reasonable accommodation."
